For writing proper solutions, we opt to choose the same approach for each solution.
A good solution consists of the following properties:

  • Description of initial problem
What is the initial formulation of the problem? It must be clear in which case which problems occur with as much information as possible. Think of GUID's, certain steps within NOM and tables in our database.
  • Description of solution
What steps are needed to fix a certain problem? What queries have been used? Describe the repro steps as descriptive as possible!

In addition to a good description, the following template can be used:

  • Description of initial problem
From organisation X we received an issue with Y. This problem had as impact that ...
The problem is noticed for organisation Z, with GUID ...
The problem will have impact on the following databases/the problem will have impact on these pages in NOM.
  • Description of solution
    First of all, we have:
    • Made the following query to solve the issue: ...
    • Done the following steps in NOM ...
    • Looked into the following database tables ...
